This is a view from in front of our cottage in Mackinaw City. All the years of looking out at the water has helped to inspire us to
to explore more of our country's waterways.

Chicago

After a long day on the water and a good night's sleep we gave Passport a good cleaning in preparation for the Labor Day Weekend.  Being from the Chicago area we didn't plan on a lot of sightseeing, instead   we wanted to have family and friends down to the boat and so not create an Eastland disaster we decided to have three open boats.

All cleaned up and ready for company
Christy and the kids brought down all the supplies we had pre purchased and stored in her garage Friday after Jack's school.  It was quite hot so we stayed in the cabin enjoying the air conditioning and had lunch.  Had dinner on board and walked around the Harbor enjoying all the city views.

Got up early Saturday went for a bike ride along the lake to Burnahm harbor came back and did a final spruce up before the first Open Boat.

Here are some shots from the first Open Boat on Saturday.
